This centre is situated on Bolsena Lake
and is
famous for both its cuisine of lake fish and a particular red wine (cannaiola); in certain
restaurants during the months of June to September there are Farnesian menus with
Renaissance dishes. A nearby place of interest , is Martana Island, with its legends on
the destiny of the Ostrogothian queen Amalasunta. Among the tourist attractions, is the Barabbata,
a silvo-pastoral festival of pagan origin that is full of folkloric intensity
(May).
