| Even this town preserves an
imposing and well kept Palazzo Farnese (Farnese Palace) and an active Centre of
Farnesian Studies , with which the Provincial Administration of Viterbo has exhibited a
permanent show on Farnesian heraldry "Nel segno del giglio". In this land famous
wines are produced (EST! EST!! EST!!! and Aleatico from Gradoli) as suggested by
"Strada dei vini dell’Alta Tuscia (The Road to the Wines of the High Region of
the Tuscia) that partly covers these places too. Among the tourist attractions worthy of
note is the Pranzo del Purgatorio (Purgatory’s Lunch), organised on Ash
Wednesday by the Brotherhood of Purgatory. Index |
